About This Role

We are seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our team. The role offers 32.5 hours of work initially, increasing to 34.5 hours in January 2025, over 38 term weeks plus 1 week of school closure, with a minimum of 44.6 paid weeks.

  • Hours of work: 32.5 initially increasing to 34.5 in January 2025
  • Term weeks: 38 + 1 weeks school closure, minimum paid week 44.6 weeks

As a Cover Supervisor, You Will

  • Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task with pre-set work.
  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policy.
  • Provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons.
  • Support the school’s ethos and contribute to a positive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine interest in working with young people.
  • Confidence, adaptability, and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a classroom environment effectively.
  • Previous experience in schools is desirable but not essential – full training will be provided.
