Are you looking to step into the world of education? Teaching Personnel is seeking confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across York. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or individuals with experience working with young people.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivering pre-prepared lesson plans in the absence of the class teacher
  • Managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive learning environment
  • Supporting students with their learning and maintaining engagement
  • Covering a variety of subjects across KS3 and KS4
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with young people (e.g., tutoring, coaching, youth work) is desirable
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • A confident and adaptable approach to teaching and learning
  • A degree or relevant qualification is advantageous but not essential
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
