Full – Time Cover Supervisor – Winchester, Hampshire

GSL Education is currently recruiting full-time Cover Supervisors to work across secondary schools in Winchester. Roles start ASAP or from September 2025. This position offers a daily pay rate of £100 to £110 and is an excellent opportunity for graduates or aspiring teachers to gain classroom experience and develop their skills while positively impacting students' learning.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver pre-prepared lessons in the absence of the classroom teacher.
• Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a safe, respectful learning environment.
• Follow lesson plans and instructions left by the class teacher.
• Provide feedback to teachers on student engagement and behaviour.
• Support students in staying on task and understanding instructions.

Requirements:

• Strong classroom management skills and confidence in leading groups.
• Excellent classroom management abilities.
• A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education.
• Experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
• Adaptability and a calm, professional presence.
• Graduates or aspiring teachers are encouraged to apply.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
• Competitive daily rates of £100 - £110 (dependent on experience).
• Opportunity to work up to 5 days per week if needed.
