Monarch Education is recruiting a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school on Gloucester Road, Bristol. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with young people and is looking to gain valuable experience within a school environment.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students stay on task and engaged with the work that has been set, helping maintain a positive learning

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
• Strong behavior management and communication skills.
• Confidence leading groups of students independently.
• A calm, professional, and adaptable approach.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
• Ensure students remain engaged and complete the work provided.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies.
• Support students with their learning and answer basic queries where appropriate.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and behaviour.
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
• Assist with the general day-to-day running of the school when required.

Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Placement
Hours: 8:15am - 3:15pm, Monday to Friday
Location: Gloucester Road, Bristol

Monarch Education is currently recruiting for a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school on Gloucester Road, Bristol. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity for an individual who enjoys working with young people and is looking to gain valuable experience within a school environment.

About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising lessons during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task and engaged with the work that has been set. You will play a key role in maintaining a positive learning environment and supporting students throughout the school day.

This role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced Teaching Assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise classes across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher
