Are you confident, organised, and passionate about supporting young people in the classroom? We are currently seeking a reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work in a supportive secondary school in the South Hams area from September, on a contract basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise students during the short-term absence of teaching staff.

  • Ensure students remain on task with pre-set work.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviour.

  • Support the wider school community when required.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.

  • Be confident managing groups of students independently.

  • Be adaptable, proactive, and able to think on your feet.

  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Be committed to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.

  • Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and all required safeguarding checks.
