Job summary

The Purbeck School in Wareham is seeking a responsible and well-organised individual to supervise students in the classroom when the subject teacher is absent. You will manage classroom activities and monitor student progress during supervision periods.

Recent experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar in an educational setting is desirable. The role is offered as both full-time and part-time, with permanent status and a January 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Recent experience as a Teaching Assistant or similar in an educational environment.
• 5 GCSEs Grade C or equivalent including English and Maths.
• Ability to supervise students and manage classroom activities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students in the classroom in the absence of the subject teacher.
