We are seeking reliable and confident Cover Supervisors to join a secondary school team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in education to gain classroom experience while supporting pupils’ learning in the absence of their usual teacher. Beginning October 2025.

Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

  • Supervising classes and ensuring pupils remain on task with pre-prepared work

  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies

  • Supporting pupils with their learning and answering general queries

  • Maintaining a positive and productive learning environment

  • Providing feedback to teaching staff on pupil engagement and progress

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

  • Have experience working with young people (school-based experience desirable but not essential)

  • Be confident managing groups of students and maintaining authority in the classroom

  • Be adaptable, proactive, and able to use their initiative

  • Have excellent communication and organisational skills as a Cover Supervisor.

  • Be enthusiastic about supporting pupils’ education and development
