We’re supporting a secondary school in Wakefield with a long-term Cover Supervisor position, starting in September (or earlier if you’re ready). This isn’t day-to-day supply—it’s a consistent role in one school, where you’ll build relationships, routines, and real classroom confidence.
It’s a brilliant opportunity for someone with experience working with young people who’s keen to make a difference—and maybe even explore teaching in the future.
Leading pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects
Managing classroom behaviour and keeping students engaged
Supporting pupils to stay on task and work independently
Feeding back to teachers and helping maintain smooth learning
Experience working with young people (schools, coaching, tutoring, or youth work all count!)
A confident, approachable style and calm classroom presence
Strong communication skills and a flexible attitude
A genuine interest in education and pupil progress

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
