About the Role

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences. Your responsibilities will include:

  • deliver pre-set lesson plans across a range of subjects
  • manage the behaviour of pupils in the classroom
  • ensure pupils remain on task and engaged with their work
  • respond to questions and support pupils where appropriate
  • supervise students during non-teaching times such as lunch or break
  • report back to teaching staff on behaviour or progress

You won’t be expected to plan lessons or mark work; your role is to lead the classroom, keep learning on track and ensure a positive, structured environment.
