Are you confident, organised, and passionate about supporting young people in the classroom? We are currently seeking a reliable and adaptable Cover Supervisor to work in a supportive secondary school in the South Hams area from September, on a contract basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable experience in education, whether you're a graduate exploring a career in teaching or an experienced cover supervisor looking for a new challenge.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise students during the short-term absence of teaching staff.


Ensure students remain on task with pre-set work.


Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.


Provide feedback to teaching staff on student engagement and behaviour.


Support the wider school community when required.


The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with young people, ideally in a school setting.


Be confident managing groups of students independently.


Be adaptable, proactive, and able to think on your feet.


Have strong communication and interpersonal skills.


Be committed to maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.


Be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and all required safeguarding checks.
