Outwood Academy Bishopsgarth is a community school located in Stockton. Part of OGAT, a Multi Academy Trust in northern England, we are seeking an outstanding candidate to support staff when they are unavailable.
Our vision is to prioritize students to raise standards and transform lives. Occasionally, staff training or other circumstances may prevent staff from being present, and the Cover Supervisor will supervise classes and coordinate with local supply agencies to arrange additional staffing as needed. This role involves early start times between 7am and 8am to facilitate travel arrangements for supply staff.
You will supervise students working on tasks left by the teacher and assist in preparing the learning environment and materials. Good communication and listening skills are essential, along with maintaining respect and confidentiality at all times. Candidates should be educated to Level 2 in English or Math.
We value a holistic approach to education, embracing vocational, practical, creative, and academic talents, and focus on building transferable skills for real-world success. As an ‘enhanced mainstream school’, we provide outstanding education for students with physical and/or sensory needs. We promote British Values—democratic participation, individual liberty, mutual respect, and diversity—and are committed to fostering responsible, caring citizens and future leaders through empowering students to take ownership of their learning.
