Job summary

Stockport Council is seeking a Cover Supervisor for a full-time, term-time role. The successful candidate will ensure continuity for students during teacher absences and may also assist in the Personalised Learning Centre. Starting September 2025, the role comes with competitive remuneration and expectations of child safeguarding.

Salary: -Scale 4 Pts 7-11 £25,584.00-£27,269.00 (FTE) £22,177.00-£23,638.00 actual pro rata
Start date: 1 September 2025

We are seeking to appoint a literate, numerate and experienced cover supervisor. The purpose of the role is to provide stability and continuity for students whose lessons are affected by short-term teacher absence, by providing cover for whole classes. This would also involve working in our Personalised Learning Centre when required.

The school is committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of students and expects staff to share this commitment.
The successful candidate will be required to undergo appropriate child protection screening including a DBS check.
