Job summary

Avanti House Secondary School in Stanmore, Harrow, invites applications for a Cover Supervisor. You will supervise classes, deliver prepared work and help maintain high standards of learning in a calm, supportive environment.

The role offers opportunities to contribute to school life through supervisory duties, examinations and administrative tasks. The position requires organisation, confidence and a passion for working with young people, with OFSTED-style emphasis on pupil welfare and learning

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Ensure all lessons for absent teachers are covered using Arbor MIS and that appropriate work and resources are provided.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, attendance, safeguarding and health and safety across lessons and supervised activities.
• Provide wider school support when not covering lessons, including supervising pupils, supporting learners, invigilation, library duties and admin tasks.
• Implement school policies and procedures for Climate for Learning, registration and safety.
• Contribute to the wider life and continuous improvement of the school through collaboration and training.
