Job summary

Empowering Learning Ltd is seeking a Cover Supervisor in Skipton to join a high-achieving secondary school on a temporary basis. The role requires delivering pre-planned lessons, maintaining student engagement and behaviour, and supporting learners in class.

The ideal candidate will be graduate-level, with strong communication and organisational skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to different classes and subjects.

Qualifications

• Graduate-level education is required.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons to a high standard and keep students engaged.

Role and responsibilities:

• Flexible and versatile approach to work
• To deliver pre-planned lessons to a high standard, ensuring students remain engaged in their lessons
• Manage classroom behaviour and foster an inclusive learning environment for all students
• Supporting students with their learning and addressing any questions or concerns
• Collaborating with teaching staff to ensure continuity of learning.

Requirements:

• Previous experience covering schools in secondary schools would be ideal, but not essential. Full training from the school is provided.
• Educated to graduate level
• Proactive and versatile individual
• The ability to think outside-the-box, on-the-spot and use your initiative when needed
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Strong behavioural management skills
