A thriving independent special school in Rochester is seeking a cover supervisor to support students' learning by supervising classes in the absence of teachers. The ideal candidate will have experience in special educational needs (SEN) provision and the ability to connect with young people. The role offers opportunities for professional development and staff wellbeing initiatives.
Ripplevale School and College, is a thriving independent special school, for 170 students aged 6 to 25 years old, located in the historic town of Rochester. As part of the Ripplevale family of schools, we provide a holistic, child centred approach to meeting the needs of our students, most of whom have an Education and Health Care Plan. Identified needs may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, dyslexia, speech, language and communication difficulties, DCD, sensory, and high levels of anxiety.
Ripplevale School and College is seeking to appoint a cover Supervisor who will make a positive impact to our students’ learning. This role is on a term time only contract and the salary will be dependent on experience and qualifications.
You will be required to cover all subjects as a floating teacher. We are seeking strong candidates with experience of a SEN provision. You will be an enthusiastic individual who is able to use your own initiative whilst also being able to relate well and establish a rapport with young people. You will need to be flexible and able to work constructively in a team, understanding classroom roles and responsibilities.
