Arete Learning Trust is seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to provide short-term cover for absent staff at Richmond School in North Yorkshire. The role involves supporting pupils with pre-prepared tasks, maintaining engagement, and supervising behaviour during class sessions.
Hours are 32.5 per week during term time (39 weeks per year). The post is permanent, grade CD, and based at Richmond, with responsibilities overseen by the Deputy Headteacher.

This role in the school is to provide short term cover for absent teaching staff, allocating pre prepared work, keeping pupils on task and managing the behaviour of pupils during class. The role does not involve planning, preparing, delivering lessons or assessing and reporting on the development progress and attainment of pupils.
