Job summary

Ashton Community Science College in Preston is seeking a permanent part-time Cover Supervisor to join our busy school. The role is 32.5 hours per week across 38 weeks and 2 days per year, with daily hours 8am to 3pm (30-minute lunch).

Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons and ensure completion of pre-prepared tasks.
• Maintain classroom order and support pupils to follow instructions and behaviour expectations.
• Assist with supervision during break times and transitions between lessons.

The Governors of ACSC are wishing to appoint a permanent cover supervisor. We require a hardworking, reliable and motivated candidate who has a genuine desire to work in a busy school with the ability to multi‑task.

We are looking for a cover supervisor with experience of working with children along with excellent interpersonal skills, high expectations of student’s achievement and behaviour and the ability to follow clear instructions for pre‑prepared tasks whist using their own initiative. The post is part time, 32.5 hours a week, 38 weeks and 2 days per year.

The successful candidate will have to have a flexible approach to working to meet the needs of the school. The start and finish time are 8am – 3pm with a 30‑minute lunch.
