We are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a dedicated staff team. This is a fantastic opportunity to support teaching and learning across the school by supervising lessons in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Beginning May 2025.
Duties as Cover Supervisor:
Supervise students in their learning during short-term teacher absences.
Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, ensuring students remain on task.
Maintain a calm, purposeful classroom environment and uphold school behaviour policies.
Assist with classroom management, transitions, and student engagement.
Provide general support across the school when not covering lessons.
Ideal Cover Supervisor:
A flexible, organised, and approachable individual with strong communication skills.
Experience working with young people, ideally in a secondary school setting.
Confidence in managing classroom behaviour and following school procedures.
The ability to remain calm under pressure and use initiative.
A genuine interest in education and supporting young learners.
