We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and confident Cover Supervisor to work in a thriving secondary school in Nottingham. The Role:

We are looking for a motivated Cover Supervisor to supervise pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the regular class teacher. You will manage the classroom, ensure students remain on task, and maintain a safe and positive learning environment. This temporary position may lead to a permanent opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise classes during the short-term absence of teachers.

Ensure students are engaged in the lesson and follow the pre-set work.

Manage student behaviour effectively in line with school policies.

Provide feedback to the regular teacher about the lesson and student progress.

Support the school with additional duties, such as break or lunch supervision, when required.

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Experience: Previous experience working with young people in a school or educational setting is desirable.

Qualifications: A degree or relevant qualification is preferred, but not essential.

Training: Strong classroom or group management skills. Familiarity with safeguarding practices.

Skills: Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. Confidence managing a classroom environment.

Background checks: All applicants must undergo an enhanced DBS check (Child Workforce) before working if not already in possession of one registered with the Update Service. Location:
