Job Title: Cover Supervisor

A successful and inclusive 11–18 secondary school and sixth form in St Helens is seeking a confident, organised, and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join its dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-respected school known for its strong reputation in behaviour, academic progress, and student support.

You will play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff, working across a range of subjects and year groups. The school prides itself on its supportive culture, high expectations, and strong community values.

The successful applicant will work in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), using their strong classroom presence and management skills to address daily challenges in the classroom. The role does not include planning and preparation; however, a strong initiative and good communication skills are essential.

Requirements for the Successful Cover Supervisor:

• Experience working with young people in a school or similar setting (preferred)
• Confidence in managing classroom routines and supporting student engagement
• Calm, adaptable, and professional under pressure
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
