Job description

In this role, you will supervise classes during the short-term absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students continue learning and stay on task. This is a great opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or anyone with experience working with young people. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

• Deliver pre-set work to whole classes across different subjects.
• Maintain a positive and productive learning environment.
• Manage student behaviour in line with the school’s policies.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff about student progress and behaviour.
• Support students with questions about the work where appropriate

Cover Supervisor Requirements:

• Completed undergraduate degree or higher
• Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor in Secondary School or working with Secondary School age student
• Strong communication skills
• Positivity and confidence when speaking with others
• Strong organisational and time management skills
