Job summary

West Somerset College in Minehead is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our team. The role supports learning during teacher absences for Year 9–11 students, with 30 hours per week across 39 weeks per year.

The starting salary is £18,251.89 per annum, under BTCT Points 7-9, with access to generous pension and staff benefits. We value safeguarding, flexibility, and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

  • Support with exam invigilation and accompany students on educational visits.
  • Provide administrative and pastoral support when not supervising lessons.
  • Maintain accurate attendance records and manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
  • Assist with classroom displays and curriculum-related admin tasks.

West Somerset College is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our supportive and dynamic team. This role is vital in maintaining continuity of learning during teacher absences, supporting students from Year 9 to Year 11, and contributing to the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities
