Job summary

Affinity Partnerships are seeking Cover Supervisors (Unqualified Teachers) to work in Melksham, Devizes and Keynsham. You should be confident leading KS3 and KS4 and enjoy helping children across the curriculum.

This is a great entry point for anyone looking to gain classroom experience. Applicants should have a sound understanding of secondary education, experience supporting children with diverse needs (SEND, autism, speech and language difficulties), and a positive, flexible approach.

Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching or supporting children in secondary education.
  • Ability to support KS3/KS4 curriculum delivery.
  • Experience with children with SEND incl. autism and speech/language needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead KS3 and KS4 lessons and support curriculum delivery.
  • Provide a supportive environment for students and manage classroom behaviour.
  • Assist students with diverse needs in small groups and 1:1 where required.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team and follow safeguarding procedures.

Job description

Affinity Partnerships are looking for Cover Supervisors (Unqualified Teachers), with a background in any Teaching / working with children, within Melksham, Devizes, and Keynsham.

The ideal candidate should feel comfortable leading KS3 and KS4 lessons and should be enthusiastic about Teaching. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to gain experience as a Teacher.

Successful applicants:

  • Have a sound understanding of Secondary Education.
  • Have confidence supporting the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
  • Have experience of supporting children in all aspects of the curriculum.
  • Will be a team player, as well as using their initiative and good sense of humor.
  • Have experience of working with children with a range of additional needs including Autism, Speech and language difficulties and other SEND students, both in smalls groups and 1:1.
  • Have a positive approach and be flexible to the demands of the job.
