Meridian High School is seeking a confident and adaptable Cover Supervisor to ensure continuity of high-quality learning when teachers are absent. You’ll lead lessons with pre-prepared materials, foster a positive environment, and help students stay engaged.

The role supports collaboration with teaching staff and the inclusion team to raise expectations and achievement. Ideal candidates have TA experience, GCSEs in English and Maths, and HLTA qualifications or progress toward them, with strong

We Are Looking For Someone Who Has

• Experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar educational setting


• Good literacy and numeracy skills, evidenced by GCSE Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent) in English and Maths


• Achieved, or is working towards, an HLTA qualification


• The confidence to apply training and knowledge effectively within a classroom environment


• Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students


• A calm, proactive and flexible approach, with the ability to engage and motivate learners of all abilities

The Details

Start Date: ASAP

Salary: GLF Associate 3 - £25,877 + outer London weighting allowance

Actual Salary: £23,189.40 + outer London weighting allowance

Hours: 37.5hrs per week, Mon-Fri (term time only)
