Job Title: Cover Supervisor

Location: North West London - Brent, Harrow, Hammersmith & Fulham, Kensington & Chelsea or Westminster

Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: £90-£100 per day (Umbrella option available)

Overview: Schools across North West London are looking for Cover Supervisors to join their schools in a variety of different roles. As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a positive and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular class teacher. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about education and eager to make a difference in the lives of secondary school students.

Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor:

1. Effectively manage and supervise students in the classroom during the absence of the regular teacher.
2. Follow pre-prepared lesson plans provided by teachers, ensuring students can effectively complete work provided.
3. Provide support and guidance to students as needed.
4. Implement the school's behaviour management policies and procedures.
5. Address any disruptions or behavioural issues promptly and effectively.
6. Support and promote the school's values and ethos.
7. Maintain effective communication with teaching staff and school leadership.
8. Adapt to different subjects and year groups as required.
9. Be flexible in responding to the changing needs of the school.

Requirements of a Cover Supervisor:

1. Previous experience working in a school setting or with young people is essential.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
3. A degree in any discipline is preferred.
4. Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is an advantage.
5. A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards education.
6. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
