Job description

I am working with a secondary school in the Liverpool area that requires an engaging Cover Supervisor for a role starting in September 2025. The role is to work within a school setting in which work will be provided and you will use it to deliver the lesson.

The ideal Cover Supervisor will have an outgoing personality and will maintain a high standard of classroom management, in order to keep students on task. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience working in a school environment.

Responsibilities of the Cover Supervisor

  • Deliver secondary subjects to ages 11-16;
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management and cover teaching using available resources within the classroom;
  • Promote and push the students to achieve the expectations set in the absence of the teacher.

To be considered for this position of Cover Supervisor you must have:

  • Experience of group management of 11-18 year olds;
  • Excellent and proven behaviour management experience;
  • Shown commitment to learning and development of pupils;
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff and students.
