Cover Supervisor (Secondary & Sixth Form)

Start Date: September 2025

Location: L15 - Academy Secondary School & Sixth Form, Ofsted Rated 'Good'

Contract: Full-time, Term-Time Only

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Duration: Initially for the academic year, with potential extension

Tradewind Recruitment are working on behalf of an Ofsted Rated 'Good' academy in the L15 area. We are seeking a confident and reliable Cover Supervisor to join the school from September 2025. The role involves supervising classes during teacher absences, ensuring that learning continues effectively across both secondary and sixth form phases.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise classes during teacher absences across secondary and sixth form phases.
  • Monitor student engagement and behaviour to maintain a productive learning environment.
  • Support learning by following lesson objectives and activities as directed by the teacher or department.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students (classroom or youth work experience desirable).
  • Ability to manage a classroom environment and ensure positive behaviour.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work across a range of subjects and year groups, including post-16.
