Qualifications

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
  • A genuine interest in education and working with young people.
  • Previous experience working with secondary-aged students is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Supervising pre-set lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a calm environment.
  • Keeping students focused and engaged in the lesson material.
  • Answering student questions using lesson resources and prior knowledge.
  • Ensuring a safe and respectful classroom environment.
  • Maintaining discipline in line with school policy.
  • Supporting students with a range of learning needs.
  • Building rapport with students and acting as a strong role model.
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns immediately.
  • Liaising with Heads of Department and pastoral teams as required.
  • Providing brief lesson feedback and student updates.
