Cover Supervisor – Secondary School (Hereford)

Role & Responsibilities:

1. Supervise secondary school classes (ages 11-16) in the absence of a teacher.
2. Ensure students remain engaged and on-task during lessons.
3. Maintain a positive learning environment and manage classroom behavior effectively.
4. Follow structured lesson plans provided by teachers to support continuity in education.
5. Engage with students in outdoor activities and PE lessons, making it an ideal role for those with sports coaching experience.

Who We're Looking For:

1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
2. A passion for education and a positive, proactive attitude.
3. Experience working with children or young people (preferred but not essential).
4. Ability to manage classrooms effectively and foster a productive learning environment.

Requirements:

1. Enhanced DBS check (on the update service or willing to apply).
2. Ability to provide two recent references.
3. Right to work in the UK.
4. Up-to-date safeguarding training (provided for free by Teaching Personnel if needed).
