Queensmead School is seeking a Cover Supervisor to support teaching staff across the 11-18 age range. The role is on a full-time equivalent basis with an actual salary of £21,797 and a full-time equivalent of £30,288. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8.20am to 3pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
The successful candidate will supervise classes, follow teacher instructions, and maintain a positive learning environment. The appointment is subject to references and an enhanced DBS check.

Cover Supervisors are responsible for providing instructions and ensuring the work set by the class teacher is worked on by students, answering students' general questions and reporting back to the teacher on a range of issues. The successful candidate will enjoy working with secondary-aged students, be patient and empathetic, and be confident in leading a full class. Please note that Cover Supervisors do not have any responsibility for planning lessons themselves, or any form of assessment of students' progress or development.
