Cover Supervisor

We are looking to appoint a reliable, confident and flexible Cover Supervisor to join a dedicated team at a good school. This is a vital role supporting continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent, helping to maintain a positive and productive classroom environment. For September 2025.

Duties as Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure pupils remain on task
• Manage behaviour in line with the school’s behaviour policy
• Provide feedback to teaching staff on student participation and behaviour
• Support students with their learning as appropriate

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

• Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable
• Strong communication and organisational skills as a Cover Supervisor
• Calm, resilient, and adaptable with a positive attitude
• Ability to manage a classroom and maintain discipline

Minimum Requirements:

Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting is desirable.
