Cover Supervisor (Full Time) – Secondary School, Gosport

About the Role

GSL Education is seeking a motivated Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Gosport. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity and an excellent role for someone who:

• is looking to gain valuable experience in education,
• may aspire to train as a teacher in the future, or
• wants some classroom-based experience before entering university or starting formal teacher training.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cover Supervisor, you’ll:

• Supervise and deliver planned lessons when the regular teacher is absent
• Maintain standards of student behaviour to ensure a calm and productive learning environment
• Support students’ learning in accordance with the school’s policies and curriculum
• Ensure classrooms are set up and cleared away as needed
• Liaise with teaching staff to gather resources and information for cover lessons

• Be confident with managing behaviour in a classroom for secondary school pupils
• Have strong communication and organisational skills
