Job summary

Exclusive Education Ltd is urgently seeking a Cover Supervisor to support KS3 and KS4 pupils in a busy school environment that caters to SEMH needs in Cheshire. The role is full-time, five days per week, with ASAP start; the school may consider four days with Friday attendance being essential.

Salary is £92 - £120 per day depending on experience. You will supervise lessons, support teachers, foster positive pupil engagement and contribute to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering KS3 and KS4 curriculum work.
• Experience in TA or Cover Supervisor roles.
• Knowledge of KS3, KS4 and KS5 curriculum and assessment frameworks.
• Eligibility to work in the UK and two references related to working with children.
• Hold or be willing to obtain a current DBS registered with the Update Service.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support students in a classroom setting, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
• Assist teachers in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
• Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging engagement and participation.
• Provide support for students with special educational needs, including those with autism.
• Communicate with parents and staff regarding student progress and behaviour.
• Mentor and tutor students to enhance their learning experience.

Location: Cheshire

Exclusive Education is looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor to work across KS3 and KS4 at a busy, welcoming, and respected school for pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

Role Details

• Full-time, 5 days per week (start ASAP)
• The school would consider 4 days, but Friday attendance is essential
• Work alongside other staff supporting small class sizes (significantly smaller than mainstream)

Ideal Candidate

• Previous Cover Supervisor experience, confident delivering KS3 and KS4 curriculum work
• Relevant experience in Teaching Assistant (TA) or Cover Supervisor roles
• Knowledge of curriculum and assessment frameworks across KS3, KS4, and KS5
• Experience working with children within the last 2 years
• Hold or be willing to obtain a current DBS registered with the update service
• Two references related to working with children
• Hold a relevant qualification (desirable), e.g. NCFE, CACHE, NVQ Level 1, 2, or 3
• Eligibility to work in the UK
