Job summary

Chellaston Academy, part of Tapestry Learning Partnership, is seeking a proactive Cover Supervisor to ensure learning continuity when teachers are absent. You will supervise pre-planned lessons, support exams and visits, and help maintain a positive learning environment across Key Stages 3 and 4.

We value confident, organised individuals with strong communication and ICT skills, who can build good relationships with students and colleagues while upholding safeguarding responsibilities.

About The Role

As a Cover Supervisor at Chellaston Academy, you will play a vital role in ensuring continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent. Working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4, you will supervise pre-planned lessons, maintain a positive and purposeful learning environment, and support students to stay engaged and make progress. Alongside classroom supervision, you will contribute to the wider life of the school by supporting examinations, educational visits, and departmental administration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people, thrives in a varied environment, and wants to make a meaningful contribution to student success.
