City of Derby Academy is seeking a Cover Supervisor to help learning continue smoothly when a teacher is absent. You will maintain order, support students, and keep lessons on track using the work set by the absent teacher.

A successful candidate will bring strong behaviour management, organisational ability and clear communication, contributing to a safe, respectful and inclusive learning environment for diverse learners.

Job description

A Cover Supervisor is a key member of staff who ensures that learning continues smoothly when a teacher is absent. Although they do not deliver new teaching content, they maintain order, support students, and keep lessons on track using the work set by the absent teacher.
