Cover Supervisor

Teaching Personnel are in collaboration with a mainstream secondary school in the heart of Coventry (CV1.) The school is seeking a reliable and confident cover supervisor who has experience in delivering a range of lessons. They ideally require someone that can be flexible and cover wherever necessary.

Job Start Date: ASAP

Pay Rate: £95-145 (per day, dependent upon experience and responsibilities)

Ideal Person Specification:

1. GCSEs in English and Maths
2. Previous experience working as a cover supervisor
3. Confident and can handle classroom behaviour effectively
4. Prior experience supporting children with special educational needs
5. Future desire to become a teacher but wanting further classroom experience
6. Confident following lesson plans accurately

Job Role/Responsibilities:

1. Accurately follow lesson plans, delivering all pre-set tasks and adhering to time restrictions
2. Manage classroom behaviour effectively
3. Deliver lessons in an engaging manner and ensure all pupils remain on task at all times
4. Communicate effectively with staff members within the school, raising concerns promptly
5. Always adhere to school policies and procedures and ensure safeguarding principles are at the centre of your practice
