Pay Range: Local Government Pay Scale 5
Actual Salary from: £22,640 – £23,756 (Points 9-12)
Start Date: ASAP or 1st September 2025
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Cover Supervisor to join the existing team. Candidates will be able to give instructions for the lesson as provided by a teacher, keep good order in the classroom and to respond to general queries. When no cover is required you will support other departments.
You will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to young people, their welfare and education. You will also need to act as a role model with high expectations of conduct and behaviour. The post does not require qualified teacher status although applicants with this are welcome. Experience of working with young people would be an advantage although full training and induction will be provided.

Paxman Academy opened to Year 7 students in September 2019 and is a co-educational, fully comprehensive 11-16 Academy with a PAN of 180. We are a heavily oversubscribed school which is held in high regard in the community. Our recent Ofsted inspection (Feb 24) rated our school as Good.
