Job Title: COVER SUPERVISOR Term-time - 32.5 hours per week, plus 5 INSET days, 38.6 weeks per year. Reports to: Cover Manager. Salary: Starting salary NJC scale 4, scale point 7. £23,145 per annum. (FTE £30,288 per annum). Rising to NJC scale 4, scale point 11. £25,927 per annum. (FTE £32,070 per annum). Working Days: 5 days per week. Working Hours: 32.5 hours per week. 8.15am - 3.15pm. Place of Work: Vyners School. Start date: 3 November 2025.
An exciting role has arisen to appoint a committed and enthusiastic individual as a Cover Supervisor. The successful applicant will provide effective cover supervision in a range of subjects, as required, in response to short-term teacher absence, ensuring good order is maintained in the classroom and that students stay on task. This role would suit a graduate considering a career in teaching or an individual with experience working with secondary age children, possibly as a teaching assistant. Previous experience within a school environment is desirable but not essential.
