Job description

Temporary, expected to work Part-Time hours

Do you enjoy working in a school environment and inspiring young minds? Are you positive, proactive, adaptable, and equipped with strong interpersonal skills? Do you thrive on variety, value experiences across different subjects, and are passionate about helping all young people engage in their learning journey? If so, read on!

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students during lessons in the absence of their regular teacher
  • Ensure students remain on task and engaged with the provided work
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Support students with their work and provide assistance where needed
  • Report back on student progress and behaviour to the relevant teaching staff
  • Assist with the smooth running of day-to-day school activities
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with young people (preferably in an educational setting)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Adaptable, flexible, and proactive approach
  • A desire to support the educational development of students
  • A relevant qualification (e.g., degree or teaching assistant qualification) is desirable but not essential
