Job description

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join a supportive and dynamic secondary school team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young people and is seeking to gain or build on their classroom experience. Beginning September 2025.

Duties as Cover Supervisor:

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons to classes in the absence of the teacher.

  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain on task.

  • Support students with their learning where appropriate.

  • Supervise students across various subjects and year groups KS3–KS4.

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff after lessons.

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

  • Has good classroom management and communication skills as a Cover Supervisor.

  • Is adaptable, calm, and professional.

  • Has experience working with young people (e.g., in education, youth work, coaching – desirable).

  • Is confident delivering lessons and managing a classroom environment.

  • Is committed to maintaining a safe and supportive learning space.
