The school benefitted from large scale redevelopment as well as fundamental changes to the school ethos and direction. Growing pupil numbers have led to the need for more cover supervisor support.

Vacancy Details

• This is a full time (37 hours pw) position for a Cover Supervisor
• To provide cover and support in the absence of class teachers
• To ensure that pupils are kept in a safe environment during (and before and after) their lessons
• To uphold and enforce the school disciplinary procedures
• To ensure that the returning teacher is given necessary feedback from the lessons covered, such as behavioural concerns, rewards issued etc

Candidate Requirements

To be considered for this role candidates must have / be able to demonstrate:

• Experience of working as a cover supervisor, or in alternative school based positions, such as a teacher or teaching assistant
• Full demonstrable knowledge of school safeguarding procedures, as well as confirmation that you have read the most recent version of KCSIE
• Experience of following school behaviour policies, including rewards and sanctions
• Full enhanced DBS certificate
• Completion of the Merit Education Onboarding Process
• The ability to show a genuine desire and passion for working as a teaching assistant
• A minimum of 2 school based references
