About the Role

Are you an experienced educator or support professional passionate about making a real difference? Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a specialist ASD and Behaviour School. This rewarding role is ideal for someone who thrives in an inclusive environment, supporting students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and behavioural challenges as they prepare for life beyond education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-prepared lessons across a range of subjects to post-16 students in the absence of the class teacher.
  • Support learners with ASD and behavioural needs, ensuring engagement and encouraging academic and personal growth.
  • Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment, using behaviour management strategies effectively.
  • Provide pastoral care and support, ensuring students feel valued and understood.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to ensure learning outcomes are met.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working with young people with ASD, behavioural needs, or SEN (Special Educational Needs).
  • Confidence in delivering lessons and supporting post-16 learners.
  • Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • A patient, adaptable, and resilient approach to working in specialist settings.
  • Need to be registered with the EWC and have a valid Enhanced DBS
