We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join their team, ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of teaching staff. Duties as a Cover Supervisor:

• Supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students stay on task.
• Deliver pre-planned lesson materials and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
• Encourage student participation and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Respond to any questions from students and provide guidance where necessary.
• Ensure that completed work is collected and returned to the appropriate teacher.
• Report back on student behaviour and any issues arising during the lesson.
• Support the wider school community, assisting with duties such as breaktime supervision and exam invigilation when required.

Ideal Cover Supervisor:

• Experience working with young people, ideally in a school or educational setting.
• Strong classroom management skills and confidence in leading a class.
• A positive and proactive attitude with the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to adapt quickly and work flexibly across different subjects and age groups.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students as a Cover Supervisor.
• A degree or relevant qualifications in education (desirable but not essential).
