Job summary

Buttershaw Business and Enterprise College is seeking a Cover Supervisor to join our thriving school during an exciting development phase. You will help deliver high-quality learning in the absence of a teacher and support students to stay on track across Key Stages 3–4.

The role requires working with 11–16-year-olds, GCSEs in Maths/English at grade 4 or above (or equivalent) and a degree. You will work as part of a team to motivate learners and promote inclusive practice.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children aged 11-16.
• GCSE Maths and English at level 4 or above (or equivalent) and a degree.
• Experience of working effectively with small groups or covering whole classes.

The role of Cover Supervisor is a crucial one as it ensures that students receive consistent high quality education from recognised school staff during short term periods of teacher absence. The successful candidate will play a significant role in ensuring that BBEC continues to improve at an accelerated and sustainable rate.

We are looking for someone who has an aptitude for working with students and teachers in a professional manner, modelling behaviours for staff and students.

The successful candidate will have:

• Experience of working with children aged 11-16
• Maths and English at level 4 GCSE or above (or equivalent) and a degree
• Experience of working effectively with small groups of students or covering whole classes
• The ability to work as part of a wider team
• The ability to motivate and enthuse students through a commitment to equal opportunities, regardless of background, Special Educational Needs or prior attainment
