Cover Supervisor

Birmingham

£88-£90 per day

08:30 - 3:30pm Term Time Only

ABC Teachers is currently seeking Cover Supervisors to work in a welcoming and inclusive Special Needs School in Birmingham. The school is dedicated to supportibe children and young people with a range if learning needs including autism, ADHD, Social Emotional and mental health needs and much more. The school prides itself on creating a safe and nuturing environment where every pupil is encouraged to thrive, achieve and develop confidence for their future. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise classes during Teacher absence, ensuring a calm and safe inclusive environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared learning activites, adapting to meet pupils needs and abilities
  • Support puppils with a range of special needs to remain engaged and focused
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, following school policies and positive behaviour strategies
About you
  • Have previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and looked after children.
  • Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools are desired but not essential.
  • Have strong communications skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
