Qualifications

Job Title: Cover Supervisor - SEN School

Location: Oldham

Start Date: Immediate Start

Salary: £100 - £120 per day (depending on experience)

TeacherActive are proud to be working with a specialist SEN school in Oldham that caters for pupils with a wide range of complex learning needs, including Autism, ADHD, communication difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health challenges. The school provides a nurturing and structured environment where every young person is encouraged to achieve their potential — both academically and personally.

We are looking for a Cover Supervisor who can confidently lead classes in the absence of the teacher, delivering pre-set work and maintaining a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You'll be supported by experienced teaching assistants and a strong pastoral team who work collaboratively to ensure that every student feels valued, supported and understood.

The ideal Cover Supervisor will:
  • Have experience working within an SEN or alternative provision setting (essential)
  • Be confident in leading a class and maintaining structure and engagement
  • Have strong behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies
  • Be adaptable, patient and committed to making a difference
  • Hold a minimum of 6 months' experience in a UK school (preferred)
