A leading education provider is seeking a Cover Supervisor for a secondary school in the Wallasey area. The role involves maintaining classroom discipline, supporting students, and managing pre-set work. Qualifications

• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year preferred.

Prospero Teaching are looking to recruit an excellent Cover Supervisor to work within a fantastic secondary school in the Wallasey area!

The strongest applicant will have confidence in Mathematics, English and a subject of their choice whilst also working well with children.

Cover Supervisor - Liverpool

• Location - CH45
• Type of work - Long Term
• Start date - September 2025
• Contract type - Long-term Temporary
• Full time/part time - Full time
• Pay: paid to scale
• Hours - 8:00 am - 4:00 pm

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Classroom Management: Maintaining a positive learning environment and ensuring that students stay on task.
• Delivering Pre-Set Work: Supervising students as they complete work left by the teacher. Ensure that the planned lessons are carried out.
• Supporting Students: Assisting students with any questions or difficulties they might have with the work, ensuring that everyone understands the tasks.
• Behaviour Management: Enforcing school policies regarding student behaviour and dealing with any issues that arise.
• Record Keeping: Documenting attendance and any noteworthy incidents during the class.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Teaching Assistant qualification or higher/equivalent (Desirable)
• Previous experience working with young people.
• Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable however not essential as some training is provided)

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

• Hold Right to Work in the UK
• Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
• Provide two professional references.
