Cover Supervisor in Derbyshire, DE6, offering a pay rate of £110 - £130 per day. This is a full-time, long-term placement with 22.20 hours per week and an immediate start.

Summary

We are seeking a dependable Cover Supervisor to support students and departmental administration in a mainstream secondary setting. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and enthusiastic about helping students continue their learning smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise prepared lessons, ensuring students remain focused and learning continues seamlessly.
  • Uphold the school's behaviour policy, promoting positive conduct and rewarding good effort.
  • Provide detailed feedback on pupil behaviour and any arising issues to the relevant Curriculum Leader.
  • Manage classes independently for up to 10 consecutive days per teacher, including the first 3 days.
  • Communicate expectations, tasks, and homework from the usual teacher clearly to students.
  • Assist with administration: invigilate exams, support departmental tasks, and help orient supply staff.
  • Collect and return student work to teachers, and support school events or visits as required.
What We're Looking For
  • 5 GCSE's including Math and English (grade 4-9) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children aged 11-16.
  • Teaching assistant Qualification (Desirable).
  • First Aid Qualification (Desirable).
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment fulfilling a range of administration duties.
  • Ability to communicate with other professionals and parents.
