We are currently seeking a Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Andover from September 2025 on a long-term, full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable school-based experience, particularly those considering a future career in education.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising students in the absence of their regular class teachers. You will deliver pre-set work and ensure that students remain engaged and focused throughout the lessons. The timetable includes a combination of Physical Education (PE) and general subjects, providing variety and the chance to support across different areas of the curriculum.
You will not be required to plan or assess work, but you will play an important role in maintaining classroom order, promoting a positive learning environment, and supporting the overall smooth running of the school day.
Deliver set lesson materials and instructions in the teacher's absence
Supervise whole classes across various subjects, including PE
Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies
Encourage students to remain on task and complete the assigned work
Support a positive and inclusive learning environment across the school
