Job description

Location: North West England, Greater Manchester, Altrincham

Job Type: Contract, Full-Time

Primary Industry: Education and Training

Salary: £85 - £95 Per day

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise students in the absence of a teacher
  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans to students
  • Provide support to students with their learning and progress
  • Assist with administrative tasks as required
Minimum Requirements:
  • GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of classroom management techniques
  • Ability to follow and deliver lesson plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid training

This role involves working in a school environment, following the school term calendar. The work hours are typically during school hours.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role. Teaching Personnel is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers in accordance with DfE statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
